Revisiting health routines – your Secret Cells will benefit from a fresh look and small shifts
We are creatures of habit. Once we put effort into designing our health routine, we think we’re done. Fair – no one wants to hear how they can do something better when they already think it’s good. The dilemma is that sometimes we miss things during the first go. Either because there’s too much information or because we think we learned everything there is to know. Interestingly, we can always glean new information by revisiting things. As a scientist, I’ve learned firsthand that challenging dogma in a new era with new tools and a new team can lead to unique world-first insights. Perhaps it’s about asking the right question at the right time…
The same for our health. By revisiting our routines and data at a different moment, we ask new questions at a new moment in time. We keep changing, which means we open the possibility that our perspective has shifted ever so slightly and we can harness new insights. Spring is about change as a new season emerges – fresh starts and new beginnings.
A personal example. By working on a curated program for cardiovascular prevention, I am learning through my own journey. Despite decades improving my health habits, I recently revisited my approach to nutrition and saw areas of caution where I have opportunities to do better. As an emotional being, I was insulted and disagreed. As a rational being, I saw the data and understood the evidence. So once again, I find myself making small changes that I know will add up over time.
Awareness. A willingness to revisit ideas, redesign our program, and reevaluate our health. Nothing major. No overhaul.
As we resign the new Secret Cell NewsBites email look, and launch our new 60khealth app, it’s a perfect moment in time to see if you’re willing to start fresh. Health simplified. Track what matters. No major overhaul – just a weekly roadmap that provides insights to support your Secret Cell and ultimately, protect your 60,000 miles of blood vessels as a gateway to healthspan.
Challenge:
· Can you evaluate your weekly health routine and see a place for improvement?
· If you’re thinking about a wearable, then our 60khealth app works with Oura Ring, Garmin Watch, and Apple Watch – this might be the fresh start for you!
