Building a strong foundation

Strong foundations set the stage for success. Whether you’re building a house, starting a career, or training for a fitness event. The same is true for health and wellness. We’ve got a lot of advice coming our way from various experts. Some of it is valuable and some of it is not. I’m not passing judgement here.

What I would say though, is that regardless of what new health suggestions you want to try, make sure you’ve built a strong health foundation first. Here is where I do have an opinion.

A healthy foundation means healthy blood vessels so they can supply your brain, heart, and muscles etc with the oxygen and nutrients they need. Without fundamental building blocks that support your vascular health, then you’ve got a house of cards.

So, where to start? Work on all the major things that support the Secret Cell lining your 60,000 miles of blood vessels. Good nutrition. Cardiovascular fitness. Strength training. Mobility and balance. Time in nature. Ancient practices that rebalance our nervous system.

If you want to go one step further, then consider getting information that helps you know your personal risk to blood vessel health. I’ve got one in mind.

In the meantime, do all the easy things you can right now to improve the health of your Secret Cell. Build a strong health foundation and see how transformative this can be!

Simple starters to try:

· Walking after an evening meal – it gets you outside, improves fitness, and helps regulate blood sugar

· Add push-ups and squats to a mid-day break to improve strength and get you moving

· Practice balance moves while watching your favorite show
